Hard Reset with Jeuse Kastoan
I’m Jeuse Kastoan. Navy veteran. Husband. Father. MBA student. Rapper. And someone who has had to rebuild more times than I can count.
Hard Reset is my real life journal. Every episode is about the grind nobody sees, the transitions nobody talks about, and the work it actually takes to reach where you’re trying to go.
No filters. No handouts. Just the unseen hours.
New episodes every week on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and wherever you listen.

Unseen Hours: Episode 16 - Is That It?

Finishing doesn’t mean you’re done — it means you’ve evolved. This episode reflects on completion as a cycle, not an ending. Every finished blueprint becomes a new beginning for what’s next.

You've done all this work. You've put in the long hours. You've done everything you can to move forward. And now you've achieved your goal. You've gotten where you want to go. Congratulations. I've been there too. And then, you know, once you get there, the real question is, what do you do now? Are you satisfied? I am a proponent of the mama mentality. You're never finished. You're never satisfied. There's always more to go towards. There's always a new goal to reach. You've reached this level. Now it's time to go to the next level. You've pushed yourself past your limits. And now these limits that you have reached have become the norm. It's no longer pushing yourself anymore because you do it naturally. So that means you need to do more. Push yourself more. Don't look at like, oh well I did this and I achieved this, so look at this. I'm doing great. I'm amazing. Okay, cool. Well you did that. Good. Are you really gonna find satisfaction in just doing that? It's only gonna be good for a little bit. It's gonna be fleeting. After a while, you're gonna be over it. And then what you're gonna do? Just stay stagnant? No. You gotta keep the momentum. You gotta keep pushing yourself. You gotta keep going. You gotta find a new goal. Even when I got out of the military and I wanted to find peace and relax a little more, I still push myself. I went into real estate. I didn't have to do that. I could have just kept working and chilling at home. I didn't have to do that. But I needed a new goal. I needed something to push myself. I needed to try something different. I needed a new challenge. That was a challenge. So I think I succeeded. I think I did okay. But do I have like a million dollar portfolio?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00So there's still more work for me to do. I still gotta get back into it. I don't own any properties right now. I'd love to. But I gotta work myself up and get more money. Can't afford it. So you know, I gotta buckle down and save money and try to do what I can so I can do it again. In the end, you always wanna find new goals? You do want to celebrate your wins. Don't get it twisted. You do want to celebrate your wins, however you do that, you can do that. Fast in that moment, enjoy it, celebrate it, be happy. But your celebration shouldn't go longer than a week. For me, it shouldn't even go longer than a day. I'm on to the next thing immediately. But it shouldn't be a long celebration, it should be a brief celebration and then back to work. Congratulations, you did complete it. You did your thing. But remember there's more to go for. You gotta keep going, gotta keep pushing yourself. Somebody out there is watching you and seeing the moves that you make. And every time you push yourself further, they want to push themselves further. So you gotta keep doing your thing. This has been season two. Talk on scene hours. I'm just cast on. Deuce.
