50 episodes in. The reset is still going.
When this podcast started, the goal was simple — get the story out and help people in similar situations. From navigating schizophrenia, surviving a suicide attempt, and rebuilding from the ground up to finding stability, a home, a wife, a child — it’s been a journey. But the reset was never meant to have a finish line. You’re constantly resetting, constantly adapting, constantly becoming.
The message hasn’t changed. It’s only evolved. And the work continues.

The reset continues. When I started how to reset, it was um I don't know. I think I just wanted to get my story out. I think that was the main goal is to get my story out and hopefully help those that were in similar situations. And um I believe it's doing that. I believe that's helping those. That's getting my situation. Starting from episode one, the reset button. Um, you know, going through schizophrenia, going through the suicide attempt, and trying to rebuild my life and trying to get to where I am now, you know, uh more stable, more settled, home, child, wife, things of that nature. Um, it's been a journey, but uh I wouldn't say that it's finished. The reset is never finished because you're constantly resetting to acclimate to your surroundings and adapt to your situation. And I feel, you know, going from that first episode to now, I can see that right now as it as it sits, that you know, I'm still doing work, you know, I'm still trying to make myself better. Um you go all the way to the last episode of the first season, the reset, you know, as I was uh recalibrating uh everything that I was uh working through that first season to now. And uh nothing has changed in regards to the drive, nothing has changed in regards to the motivation. The message hasn't changed, it's only evolved. And I feel that, you know, with this season, uh, you know, the main thing I want you to get from this is, you know, there's always gonna be tension, there's always gonna be a weight on your shoulders, and there's always gonna be things that you need to let go of because you're going for a goal. You're going for something bigger than you. You're trying to do something that no one else has done. So in order to achieve those things, there's gonna be a certain weight that comes with it. It's gonna be decisions that have to be made. And you're gonna have to decide what's worth your time and what's not worth your time. You're gonna have to decide, um, is this person serving me? Is this person not serving me? Um, it doesn't mean that you cut people off. It just means that you put them where they need to be. You know? If they uh if they're friends and you know they're supportive and and then they're that then they're in that bucket, right? If they're not supportive, but you know they uh they still check on you, they still talk to you and everything, then you know you put them in that bucket. You know, you don't put too much weight and expect things from people that show you that they can't handle it. So you just put people where they can be to succeed. And I feel throughout this time, uh especially throughout this season, that um there's a lot that I learned and there's still a lot to learn. You know, uh I remember talking about, you know, just work in general, jobs, trying to work hard to get promoted and dealing with, you know, the things that come with that. And it's all still pretty relevant, you know. You gotta stay focused and you gotta be aware of what's going on and be aware of your surroundings. You gotta be aware of how you're reacting to things and how you're acting towards people. Everyone isn't looking out for you, you know. Everyone isn't looking out for you. Some people don't have good intentions when they think about you at all. Some people do. Some people do have good intentions, but the majority, they probably don't because they see you as competition. So you gotta be aware of that and keep moving forward. This um this reset as it may is more of an evolution. It doesn't stop, it keeps going. You gotta stay focused and you gotta know where you're headed so you can make the plans to get to where you want to go. And that's really truly how I feel about this whole situation. Um this season spoke a lot about growth, spoke a lot about uh overcoming adversity. Um spoke a lot about adjusting and adapting to your environment just so you can succeed. You can go in one plan, but realize that the situation is different than what you expected, so you need to adjust and adapt just so you can survive and succeed, you know. Um there's a lot of things that can happen that aren't planned for. So you need that structure so you can go into it and have an idea of where you want to go, but then have the ability to pivot in case you see this isn't gonna go the way I want it to go. This is gonna lead me to a path I do not want to go. Let me adjust. Let me do something different, you know. You gotta stay cognizant of these things, you gotta know what's going on. And the best way to handle these things is to move slow. Don't try to do everything too fast. Take your time, move slow, analyze the situation and move accordingly. That's all you can do. You know, the things I want you to do is I want you to stay focused on your goals. I want you to stay focused on what you're trying to become and stay focused on what you're trying to achieve. And then just take the steps to doing those things. Whether it be internal, working on who you are as a person, your personality, the way you handle things, or whether it's literally going out there and you know getting that degree or working hard at that job just so you can get that promotion. Whatever it is. I want you to lock in and stay focused. Because if anybody can do it, you can do it. And who's gonna be your biggest cheerleader? It's not gonna be anyone else, it's gonna be you. Cause why not? Why aren't you good enough to achieve good things? You are good enough, that's why you're going to. In the end, you can do this. It just takes time and it takes effort. You give yourself the grace to do these things and to achieve these things. And you'll get it, you'll get it done. I truly believe in that. I'm Drew Skystone. This concludes season two of the hard reset. See you in season three.
